Safety Culture and its impact on safety

Arrangementsbeskrivelse

What is actually the right Safety Culture to embrace and how to implement it? Come hear and debate with the interesting mix of speakers who have actively worked with implementing a Safety Culture and their take on what was the right one for their Organization.

The term `Safety Culture` first appeared as a part of the investigation report of the Chernobyl disaster in 1986. Since different types of Safety Culture directions have been developed to guide individuals in the right direction.

Safety Culture can be defined as a set of beliefs, norms, attitudes, roles, social and technical practices that are concerned with minimizing exposure. But can we really change a safety culture if we look at the cultural differences of the employees?
