Workshop: See how a hacker works and learn how to protect your company against cyber-attacks
Event Description
As a follow up to our successful seminar Bringing Cyber Security in the Forefront of Maritime Industry, we are arranging a Cyber Security workshop. The workshop will give a deeper understanding of how hacking is carried out in practice by two “white” hackers.
Who can attend?
The workshop is relevant to you or your colleagues who are interested in or working on a daily basis within the Cyber Security field in a company with minimum 50 endpoints.
What will you learn?
You will get insight into the actual threat landscape and get familiar with a variety of tools necessary to understand the mechanisms that make a company vulnerable to a various cyber-attacks. You will get the same tools and know-how that the hackers use to exploit these weaknesses, while you are guided through the hacking process to better understand your enemy’s tactics in order to be able to act fast and decisively in case of potential attack. The workshop is hands-on and you must bring your own PC.
- Conduct and prevent a Ransomware Attack
- Explore the Endpoint Security Manager (ESM)
- Prevent an Exploit Attack
- Prevent a Malware Attack
- Look into Microsoft Office File Protection
The workshop is only for MDC members (free of charge). We hope this workshop will strengthen the relation/network between the participants as the workshop is for max. 16 persons on a first come, first served basis.
If you are curious about the powerplant Avedøreværket, you have the opportunity to sign up for a guided tour, taking place from 13:00 to 14:00.
