Event Description
Brexit has created much uncertainty within many different business sectors, both in the UK and among cross-border trade partners. Undeniably, Brexit will have a significant impact on the maritime sector in particular as London has historically, and since becoming an EEC/EU member, been the preeminent center in Europe for shipbroking, finance, insurance and dispute resolution. The question is whether London will continue as such outside of the EU in the face of the expected trade and legal barriers towards the EU.
For Danish players within the maritime sector, the central issues are how Brexit will affect the commercial and legal environment and, in particular, how they should prepare for the upcoming event, in contracts, internal practices and otherwise.
